Dr Giulia Colucci honoured by the Rector for scientific achievements

We are proud to announce that Dr Giulia Colucci from the Heavy Ion Laboratory has been among the researchers distinguished with the Rector’s Awards of the University of Warsaw. A total of 171 researchers received the award, granted for outstanding scientific activity, including research and development work that significantly contributes to the growth and prestige of the University. Dr. Paweł Jan Napiorkowski will give a lecture: "Annual NUSTAR Week 2026 – 19 Years After Poland Joined the FAIR Project" The abstract: In 2007, Poland joined the FAIR project. During the annual NUSTAR Week 2026 conference, the current status of work on the Super-FRS separator, the detection systems, and the Letters of Intent for Early Science projects were presented. Naturally, the fire that occurred in February 2026 and its consequences for the operation of GSI and the construction of FAIR were also discussed. A summary of the meeting, the FAIR site visits, and impressions from the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the SHIP separator will be presented....
