Seminar under the patronage of the Minister of Climate and Environment

The Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw invite you to a seminar under the patronage of the Minister of Climate and Environment entitled "Current challenges related to the implementation of the Polish Nuclear Power Program" (in Polish). The seminar will be held on November 29, 2021 at 9:00 online. The seminar will be held remotely via the videoconference platform. Anyone who completes the registration form will receive a link to the platform and will be able to actively participate in the seminar by asking questions to the speakers. Additionally, during registration, it is possible to ask a question to all or a selected Participant of the discussion panel. Please enter your question in the registration form with the information to whom it is addressed. The next Physical Seminar of the OK PPS

The next Physical Seminar of OK Polish Physics Society will be held on the 25th of November 2021 at 16:15, online on the MS TEAMS platform. Dr hab. Renata Kopeć, Prof. IFJ (H. Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics PAS) will present: "Five years of proton radiotherapy with the use of a pencil scanning beam at the Cyclotron Center Bronowice IFJ PAN", Prof. Marek Jeżabek (The H. Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences) will deliver a lecture: "How the CCB was built." Summary: 1. The Bronowice Cyclotron Center has two gantry stations where it is possible to use a scanning proton beam for cancer radiotherapy. Proton radiotherapy with the use of a pencil scanning beam is currently one of the most advanced and precise radiotherapeutic techniques using ionizing radiation.
